Finally brethren, whatsoever things are TRUE (loving the truth, speaking the truth, truthful), whatsoever things are honest (to be venerated [to regard or treat with reverence] for character, honourable), whatsoever things are just (in a wide sense, upright, righteous, virtuous, keeping the commands of God, also innocent, faultless, guiltless), whatsoever things are pure (exciting reverence, venerable, sacred, also clean), whatsoever things are lovely (acceptable, pleasing), whatsoever things are of good report (sounding well, also uttering words of good omen [anything perceived or happening that is believed to portend a good or evil event or circumstance in the future], speaking auspiciously [promising success, also favored by fortune; prosperous; fortunate]); if there be any virtue (a virtuous course of thought, feeling and action, also any particular moral excellence, as modesty, purity), and if there be any praise (approbation [approval], commendation [to present, mention, or praise as worthy of confidence, notice, kindness], praise, think (to consider, meditate, to reckon inward) on these things.
